Sinoretik Fort is utilized either by itself or alongside other medications to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, and for patients who have recently experienced a heart attack. It is classified under a group of medications known as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. The Lisinopril tablets function by reducing blood pressure through the dilation of blood vessels.
The active components in Sinoretik Fort are Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide.
Lisinopril is indicated for treating high blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, and enhancing survival rates post-heart attack. It falls within the category of ACE inhibitors (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme).
The starting dose for adults is 10 mg once daily, which can be increased to 40 mg daily according to blood pressure response. For patients on diuretics, begin with a dose of 5 mg once daily. For pediatric patients with a glomerular filtration rate above 30 mL/min/1.73m², the initial dose for children aged 6 and older is 0.07 mg per kg (up to a maximum of 5 mg total) once daily.
Use Sinoretik Fort precisely as directed by your healthcare provider. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or extend the duration of use beyond what your doctor has recommended. Your doctor may adjust your dosage periodically to ensure optimal effectiveness of the medication. Consume each dose with a full glass of water, with or without food. Ensure you stay well-hydrated while on Sinoretik.
Vomiting, diarrhea, or excessive sweating may lead to dehydration, which can result in severely low blood pressure, electrolyte imbalances, or kidney failure during treatment. Regular blood pressure monitoring will be necessary to confirm that Sinoretik Fort is effectively managing your condition. Your kidney or liver function might also require assessment. Do not skip any scheduled appointments with your healthcare provider.
If you are scheduled for any type of surgery, inform the surgeon in advance that you are using Sinoretik Fort, as you may need to temporarily discontinue the medication. If you are being treated for high blood pressure, continue taking this medication even if you feel well, as high blood pressure frequently has no symptoms. If you forget to take a dose, do so as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and proceed with your next scheduled dose. Never take extra medicine to compensate for a missed dose.
Side effects associated with Sinoretik Fort that occur in 2% or more of patients, exceeding placebo levels, include: hypertension-related headaches, dizziness, and cough; heart failure symptoms such as hypotension and chest pain; and acute myocardial infarction-associated hypotension.
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any indications of an allergic reaction, such as hives, intense abdominal pain, difficulty in breathing, and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
